Bridge to Residency Program
The Medina Clinic accepts licensed Assistant Physicians to volunteer at the Clinic. This volunteer opportunity provides valuable hands-on clinic experience, as well as the above mentioned ERAS and Interview prep services for free. APs see patients under the direct supervision of an on-sight preceptor consistent with a residency model.
Please note, you must be licensed as an Assistant Physician via the MO Board of healing arts to be eligible for this opportunity.
About This Opportunity
Since 2016, 35 Assistant Physicians at the Medina Clinic have matched into residency programs across the US. That accounts for 53% of all APs that have trained at our clinic. Forty percent of those matched went into Family Medicine and 23% matched into Internal Medicine. Some APs have also matched into other specialties including Pathology, Transitional year and Pediatrics.
The Medina Clinic is the first and only clinic in the Kansas City metro to offer volunteer and educational opportunities for Assistant Physicians under the new Assistant Physicians Law. This is a volunteer opportunity that allows APs to provide clinical care for patients while counseling on residency application and interviewing.
